What You Will Do

We are seeking a Contract Manufacturing Procurement Manager to join our fast-paced, rapidly growing organization. This individual will play a critical role in developing and managing strategic partnerships with contract manufacturers while building the procurement processes, systems, and tools essential for our continued growth. As a company founded in 2020, we thrive on innovation, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit. The ideal candidate is self-directed, initiative-taking, and has a proven track record of creating scalable procurement frameworks in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage strategic relationships with contract manufacturers, aligning performance with quality, service, capacity, and cost targets.
Negotiate and manage supply agreements, service level agreements, and pricing to deliver competitive advantages.
Create and implement procurement processes, systems, and tools that drive efficiency and scalability across the contract manufacturing network.
Develop and lead a robust supplier qualification process to ensure contract manufacturers meet quality, safety, capability, and compliance standards.
Manage onboarding and integration of new contract manufacturing partners, ensuring alignment with company expectations and requirements.
Analyze and challenge cost drivers across commodities, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods to ensure cost competitiveness and margin improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives with contract manufacturers to optimize yields, enhance process efficiencies, and support innovation.
Implement performance dashboards and reporting tools to monitor contract manufacturer KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, yield, quality).
Proactively identify and lead initiatives to scale procurement and manufacturing capabilities in alignment with business growth.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to support new product launches and ensure manufacturing readiness – ensuring that contract manufacturers are ready for scale-up, formulation changes, and packaging transitions.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure resilience and continuity within the supply chain, including sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
Conduct risk assessments of contract manufacturers, including financial, geopolitical, and regulatory compliance factors, and develop mitigation plans.
Manage procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives, reporting on performance to senior leadership.
Act as an individual contributor, prioritizing and executing projects in a dynamic environment with limited structure.
